Top Entry Ball Valves: Introduction
A top-entry trunnion ball valve is designed for pipeline isolation where access to the internal components from the top can support in-line maintenance. Its removable or bolted bonnet allows inspection and service of the ball, seats and stem without removing the valve body from the line, subject to the valve design and project maintenance procedure.
For selection, confirm the line size, pressure class, temperature, medium, body and trim materials, seat design, actuator, leakage test basis and documentation package.
